This experience with Nature Without Borders is your chance to step into something real. Based along Kenya’s stunning coastline, you’ll live and work within a vibrant local community long enough to settle in, build genuine connections, and become part of everyday life.
Each day brings something new. You might begin by exploring mangrove forests or snorkelling over coral reefs, learning about marine ecosystems and conservation in action. Later, you’ll head into the community supporting local schools, planting trees, or working alongside families on sustainable projects that create lasting impact.
It’s hands-on, varied, and deeply rooted in purpose. Every activity is shaped by local needs, ensuring your contribution supports long-term environmental and community resilience. And because you’re based in one place, you’ll experience the true rhythm of coastal life from cultural exchange and shared meals to meaningful conversations and connections.
And when it’s time to explore? Think coastal adventures, cultural experiences, and the unforgettable thrill of a Tsavo safari. You’ll leave Kenya with more than memories but with perspective, purpose, and stories that stay with you for life.

I came to Kenya expecting an adventure, but I left with a completely new perspective. Working on mangrove restoration and spending time with the local community made the experience incredibly meaningful.
One day we were working on conservation projects, the next we were on safari in Tsavo watching elephants in the wild. It’s rare to find something this well balanced.
I felt like part of the community.
What stood out most was how welcomed we were. It didn’t feel like volunteering from the outside — it felt like being part of something real and meaningful.
